Bradley Giles Ltd specialise in tuning Windowlink’s Focus and Vector software to get the very best out of it. Whether it’s just presentation or a full bespoke pricing engine, With over thirty years’ experience in the window industry and, as the former owner of Windowlink Ltd, Giles Hayhurst will quickly and efficiently get your software working with excellent effect. All customers have different requirements especially when it comes to the way they price their products and it’s a credit to Focus and Vector that they’re so flexible in how they can be set up. Although Bradley Giles mainly concentrates on having a small number of regular customers they also supply all the Windowlink range as a distributor/service centre.
Focus is extremely flexible in that it can produce quotations, survey sheets and contracts after presenting to the customer pictures of exactly what they’re getting.
These days it’s not just White, Golden Oak and Rosewood but a whole range of colours including the now popular Anthracite Grey and Chartwell Green. In addition, composite doors and door panels are now available in these colours and brochures cannot show every colour and design combination. Focus can be set up to include complete door libraries so that the customer sees their door design in their colour and with their chosen glass design – with or without letterboxes and door knockers. A common addition to Focus is to set it up to price the job whilst at the customer’s thus saving considerable time. Focus PRO is the manufacturing version of Focus and can (and often does) include the presentation side as well meaning that a manufacturing company can have the same software for quoting – sales – survey – manufacturing – glass ordering with the jobs being saved on a central server so that the relevant member of staff can access them. Focus 3D enables you to superimpose the windows and doors on to a picture of a customer’s house.
Vector, the sister product to Focus is also extremely flexible in that it can produce quotations, base plans and contracts after presenting to the customer pictures of exactly what they’re getting.
These days it’s not just plain Victorians but P shapes, wide fronted Victorians and, of course,Orangeries. The Orangery software covers parapet wall and fascia designs with a wide range of available designs. Conservatories and Orangerys can be shown in the now popular Anthracite Grey and Chartwell Green colours. The popular roof systems such as Ultraframe’s Livin and Loggia designs are displayed realistically and other roof systems are available too. Vector PRO is set up for those who manufacture frames so that the likelihood of errors is much reduced.

A.T.B. Systems manufacture specialist windows for the modular building and mental health industries and produce their own extrusions bespoke to each application. They were using three different programs to calculate cutting sizes and material costs and called Bradley Giles in to see if Focus could handle such a wide variety of products. It was a steady project and now twenty three different systems are handled with ease. Focus PRO (the manufacturing upgrade from Focus) produces Works Orders, Optimised Cutting Lists, Costings – both optimised and non-optimised with five members of staff using the program simultaneously. For A.T.B., optimisation was a must because many jobs have bespoke RAL colours and overstocking is uneconomic. Giles regularly visits A.T.B. as new products are being introduced on a regular basis.
G & N Windows, together with their partner company Herts Bifold Doors supply Origin and Schuco bifold doors, aluminium and PVCu windows and doors and also Kloeber timber doors. They used basic Focus software many years ago purely for presentation and pricing but were persuaded by one of their suppliers to go elsewhere for a more sophisticated system. Quite a few months and quite a bit of expenditure later they realised that the new system would never be able to cover all their product range and called on Bradley Giles for a solution. Focus was set up to produce paperwork that looked exactly like their current system and now covers 90% of all the products they supply. A new development has been roof lanterns and Focus is currently being set up to cover these as well
Firmfix manufacture Rehau frames and supply windows, doors and conservatories to mainly retail but some trade customers. Focus has been set up to calculate the price of a variety of specifications such as A rated, C rated etc. simultaneously so that the salesman can give the customers a choice there and then. Totally tailored printouts support the software ensuring that the Firmfix paperwork in no way resembles any others from nearby customers who also use Focus and Vector. The whole Focus system is totally integrated meaning that the customer’s details are only entered once and the salesman then stores the job on their central server. The surveyor picks up the job and then makes the necessary tweaks before saving it ready for the production team to produce all the manufacturing information.
